Spike TV Will Air UFC 103 Preliminary Fights Free September 19

“Providing an action-packed UFC pay-per-view, live and commercial free to our viewers on both coasts, further illustrates Spike TV and the UFC’s commitment to its fans,” Spike TV president Kevin Kay said to UFC.com.
The undercard for UFC 103 currently features 8 bouts including
- Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller
- Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal
- Rom Emerson vs. Rafael Dos Anjos
- Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Igor Pokrajac
- Eliot Marshall vs. Jason Brilz
- Dan Lauzon vs. Rafaello Oliveira
- Paul Daley vs. Brian Foster
- Thiago Tavares vs. Jim Miller
No reasoning for the decision to air the free fights was given from the UFC or Spike TV. Many people believe it’s because the event will be going head-to-head with a boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez. But I think that answers the question quite clearly. Do I have to remind you about the free airing of UFC 100 during Strikeforce’s Carano VS. Cyborg. Dana White and the UFC look as if they are going for the jugular with every competing event.
UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort will be headlined by a bout featuring former UFC middleweight champion Rich “Ace” Franklin taking on former UFC heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort at 195-pound catchweight. The event is scheduled for September 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

UFC Fight Night Live 9-16-09 Features…
Ultimate Fight Night Live is shaping up to be an exciting event. Here are a couple of featured fights for September 16th.
Nate Diaz will be taking on the heavy handed, Mevin Guillard.
Nate will need to take Guillard to the ground if he expects to win this battle. Nate has lost in his last few bouts and needs to get himself back into the game with a dominating win by submission. If Nate hangs out on his feet he is bound to be KO’d by Guillard.
Melvin Guillard has knockout power in his hands and his feet. The problem is will he be ready to fight. Some would like to see Melvin put the always cocky Nate Diaz on his ass. Melvin is also looking for a come back after falling off the UFC scale due to his involvement with drugs.
It all comes down to the grappler VS. the striker. Both men have the ability to win this fight. The question is who will save their career and who will be packing it in and going home?
Another great fight taking place September 16th is Gray Maynard VS. Roger Huerta.
How could this not be a great fight. This is Huerta’s last fight on his UFC contract. One would think he would give it everything he’s got for his last showing. The man wants to be resigned, no? Let’s not forget that he is an outstanding fighter as well.
As for Gray Maynard, he has been looking for his title shot and would like to keep his 8-0 record untouched. If Maynard wins this fight a title shot should be in order. If that’s not a reason to beat the piss out of someone, I don’t know what is.
In my opinion this is going to be one hell of a fight and I cannot wait to see the outcome.
The undercard will feature Steve Cantwell VS. Brian Stann along with a number of other great fights.
Cantwell and Former Member of the U.S. Military Brian Stann will certainly be a stand up battle. These two love to bang, this will be an exciting fight for sure.
The other fights on the nights card are:
Carlos Condit VS. Jake Ellenberger
Nate Quarry VS. Tim Credeur
Chris Wilson VS. Mike Pyle
Sam Stout VS. Phillipe Nover
Jeremy Stephens VS. Justin Buchholz
Brock Larson VS. Mike Pierce
Ryan Jensen VS. Steve Steinbeiss

Brock Lesnar Makes Me Sick!
I want to let all of you know that I have been following MMA for over 15 years, I fully understand and have the utmost respect for the sport.
I’m still jacked up after brock lesnars (cough, cough) win over Frank Mir.

First, I just have to say the display after this fight was an utter disgrace. This is not WWE, these are “real” professional fighters. Brock lesnar is making a joke out of a sport that I have grown to love. I love it because of the respect and determination, and skill of the fighters who represent the sport.
The way Lesnar came up this quickly and remains a champ turns my stomach. Not one of Lesnar’s fights have shown any technique. He is simply the Champ because of his sheer overwhelming size, and something about that justs urks me to no end. His attitude, in a word “Blows.” It seems like this is all a follow up act to his WWE career. Do me a favor Brock if you want to act, move to Hollywood. Don’t make a joke out of a pure sport you big chooch, have a little respect for the people that worked and dedicated their lives to this.
Until you show me that you have real talent, other than being a gorilla then I have no respect for you as a fighter.

This is how the face of the UFC should act?
