UFC signs $700 Million Deal w/ FOX!!
Dana White has been “no commenting” a lot during recent weeks. Especially when it came to the details of a potential deal arising quickly with FOX Network.
Offers have been piling up on the table.
Already negotiating a contract renewal with SpikeTV, the UFC also had new offers coming in from CBS, Comcast, and another unique opportunity to overtake the G4 network and turn the channel into a 24/7 MMA network.
Then the UFC then received an out of the park offer from FOX. A seven-year deal worth over $100 million annually. This includes four prime time, LIVE event broadcasts per year on FOX, and great time slots for the hit TV show The Ultimate Fighter. on the network channel and Fox Sports channels.
“The Fox deal accelerated at 100 mph in recent months.”
- Dana White (UFC President)
Exposure for MMA and then UFC is continuing to skyrocket, and as mixed martial arts becomes more of a mainstream sports it’s clear that the sky’s the limit.
The UFC’s debut broadcast event on FOX will be from the Honda Center in Anaheim ,CA on November 12th, 2011.

GSP's Afterparty at Rehab after UFC 100 Win
Good for you GSP, you deserve it!!

“The next day I went at a pool party at Rehab with all my friends who came to support me. We had a booth (cabana) and it was great spot in the place. I drank so much that I forgot my whole name. It was very cool because at one time, Thiago Alves showed up with his entourage and came in my booth (cabana) and drinking with me and congratulate me for the fight. I thought he was a class act and that prove that he was a real professional athlete and a real good person and a gentleman. I really appreciated it, he’s a great fighter and also a great gentleman, and we had a good time drinking together.
John Fitch showed up as well, and we celebrate together our victories. Shonie Carter came a little bit later with a gold speedo and a hat and a cane dressed like a pimp with his cane. He make us laugh very much and as always me and Shonie had a great time because Shonie is a good old friend of mine. We had an amazing time at Rehab then I came back to my hotel…took a little nap of one hour and went back to a club at night called Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel. I drank so much that I couldn’t sleep at night. I took my plane the following Monday – when I got on the plane…I think I was still drunk. The flight went very well. People who know me know that I can’t sleep on the plane, because I’m always afraid of flying, but the fact that I was drunk helped me out controlling my fear. I watched the movie Shawshank Redemption – it’s very, very good.”

Georges "Rush" St-Pierre Groin Injury Will Not Require Surgery

St-Pierre spoke about how painful his injury was and how he gutted through it in some behind the scenes footage of UFC 100.
Although the injury was painful it seems that St-Pierre will recover a lot quicker than he originally thought. An MRI has revealed that the injury will not require surgery.
The UFC Welterweight champion, who deservedly beat Alves via unanimous decision, is expected to return to training in the next few weeks.
St-Pierre is scheduled to next face either Martin Kampmann or Mike Swick, who will meet at UFC 103 in September to determine who is the number one contender.
