Edith Labelle Get to know EX UFC’s 5-foot-8 Canadian Beauty

Find out what turns her on, how she stays fit and the difference between American and Canadian guys.

How do you stay in such great shape?
Edith: I watch what I eat and work out at least 4 times a week.

Do you have any sports you play when you’re not working out?
I like rollerblading in the summer and scuba-diving when I get a chance. I am also thinking of taking up Muay-thai boxing.

How do you motivate yourself to go to the gym?
It’s easy. Knowing I have to get up in front of millions of UFC fans worldwide in a revealing outfit is motivation enough, but I would train regardless because I like to feel fit and take care of myself.

What’s was the most exciting aspect of being an Octagon girl?
Having a front-row seat to the most exciting sport ever—MMA.

Have you met a lot of celebrities as an Octagon girl?
Being a huge UFC fan , the chance to meet all the UFC fighters in person is a real thrill of a lifetime. All the guys are really friendly (outside of the Octagon) and I am really happy that I have had a chance to get to know George St-Pierre. He’s a great guy.

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
I have a sweet-tooth, especially for chocolate desserts—but I never indulge more than once a week.

What’s the first physical characteristic you notice in a guy?
Hmm . . . hard to decide. There’s not one thing in particular. I’ll notice a guy who is the complete package. Fit, but not too buff.

You’re originally from Canada. What’s the biggest difference between American guys and Canadian guys?
American guys are more intense and Canadian guys seem to be more laid-back.

How can a guy win you over?
I know its cliché but he has to be a gentleman and he has to be able to make me laugh.

Would you ever date a fighter? Why or why not?
I think it would be too hard for me to watch my boyfriend or husband take punches and kicks . . . even the winners get hit.

Do you have a favorite song you workout to?
I like to listen to house music when I work-out.

What’s your favorite movie? Why?
The Notebook. Because I adore love stories—especially the ones that make you cry.

Would you ever fight? If so, who would you most want to step into the Octagon with?
I am not thinking of starting a career as an MMA fighter anytime soon if that’s what your asking, but if you hurt anyone in my family or that I love, I’ll drag you into that Octagon so fast your head will spin.

Your Octagon Girl profile says you enjoy skydiving. How many times have you jumped?
Three times so far. I can’t wait to go again. I love the adrenaline rush.

What is it like to jump out of an airplane?
Kinda like jumping out of a tree, but a lot higher. Just kidding. You gotta try it to know.

Your bio says that you want a career in real estate. Where would you build your dream house and why?
I would have a small home in the Bahamas for the winters and spend my summers in Montreal. Its a crazy fun city in the summer with all the festivals and the night-life, and all my friends are family are here.

Tell me three things that not too many people know about you.
1) I’m a great listener.
2) I love animals, especially my little Yorkshire, Chico.
3) Although I would never do it in front of people because I am a lady and have manners, I can burp really, really loud when I am alone.

Arianny Celeste became a UFC Octagon Girl in typical fashion – through a modeling casting call – but ever since she made her debut at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in 2006, life has been anything but typical for the 22-year old, who saw her first live mixed martial arts fight that summer night in Las Vegas.
“It was nerve racking and kinda scary, but it was really cool,” said Arianny of her first night working for the UFC.  “I liked it a lot.”

Since then, this striking Latina has become a fixture at UFC events and a fan favorite.  She’s also transformed from a casual fan of MMA to a diehard follower of the sport.

“The best part of the job is the whole experience – being able to travel and watch these great fighters,” she said.  “Plus, all of this is real, so it’s just amazing.”

The perks of the job aren’t bad either.

“Sometimes I get recognized and it’s really cool when you see people who just want to talk to you and get your picture,” she admits.  “It makes me feel really good, like a little celebrity (Laughs).”

Rachelle Leah

Hometown: Bay Area
Height: 5’8″ (173 cm)
Weight: 115 lbs.

When I was 16 I started modeling…it was more of a hobby than anything.  When I was 18 I sent in photos to agencies and began working immediately. My first job modeling was with a real estate infomercial. It was a lot of fun and I got bit by the modeling bug.

I was contacted by a lot of the modeling agencies locally and one thing led to another.

At first most of my gigs where swimwear shoots. I finally got a break when FORD motor company asked me to do modeling for them full time. Next was TV. I appeared on the Carson Daly show, the Nick and Jessica Variety show, and the WB Morning show. Furthermore, I was in an independent movie called “Vegas, Baby” with Chuck Liddell. When I built up my resume I wasn’t sure where I wanted my career to go, and then the UFC® was introduced to me.

[adrotate group="2"]

It was my second time working as a Octagon girl™ at a boxing match and the press took my photo and posted it on an MMA website. James Pena (trainer with UFC®) approached me and told me the UFC® was looking for a new Octagon Girl™ and would I try out. Of course, my answer was yes and I gave him my card and received an email immediately from the company. I went in for an interview and have been with UFC® ever since. Time flies by, and is the most fun I’ve ever had.
